A local resident in Nangarhar province was killed by armed robbers, local sources have confirmed. According to Amu TV, the incident occurred on Thursday morning, October 8, in the Daman area of Behsud district.
Sources reported that armed assailants attacked the man's shop, killed him, and then stole his motorcycle. Another report from Amu TV mentioned that the robbers also took 12,500 Pakistani rupees, his mobile phone, and his identity card. The victim's identity has not yet been officially released.
Local Taliban government officials in Nangarhar have not yet commented on the incident, and the primary motive for the killing remains unclear. Sources close to the victim's family stated that they had no personal enmities.
This murder is the latest in a series of rising insecurities and criminal activities in Nangarhar province. In recent months, numerous cases of mysterious killings, armed robberies, and kidnappings have been reported across the province, causing serious concern among residents.
Local inhabitants are urging the Taliban government to take more decisive action to ensure security and curb the activities of criminal groups. Increased security patrols and the arrest of perpetrators are among the primary demands of the people.
Although the Taliban government promised to establish nationwide security after taking power in August 2021, criminal offenses in many major provinces, particularly Nangarhar, continue to be a significant challenge. This situation has eroded public confidence in the ability of security forces to protect their lives and property.
