Iran's leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has stressed the need to end the "no war, no peace" situation in a meeting with Mohsen Rezaei, the Secretary of the country's Supreme National Security Council. Iran uses this phrase to describe its tense relationship with the United States.

The Iranian leader's website reported on Tuesday, October 27, that the meeting focused on issues such as "protecting national and regional security by managing the Strait of Hormuz and strengthening relations with neighboring countries." The meeting took place one day after a quadrilateral security summit in Tehran involving Iran, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia.

According to the report, the leader considered the "desperation of the enemy" a result of "national resistance" and emphasized "proactive communication to ensure the people's continued presence in defending the country" and pursuing Iran's rights by meeting conditions set to end the current situation.

In the meeting, Mohsen Rezaei presented a report on efforts to "organize indigenous regional arrangements and order," indicating Iran's push for a regional security framework without foreign intervention.

This marks Mojtaba Khamenei's first public foreign policy statement since becoming leader. He came to power after his father, Ali Khamenei, was killed in joint US-Israeli attacks. Since then, he has not appeared in public.

His absence from the public eye has fueled speculation about his health. There have been reports that he was severely injured in the same attacks that killed his father. However, Iranian officials have consistently denied these reports, insisting he is in perfect health.
