The Taliban group announced extensive changes in ministries and provinces based on a decree from their leader Hibatullah Akhundzada.

Khairullah Khairkhwa, Minister of Information and Culture, was appointed as governor of Maidan Wardak, while Sheikh Shir Ahmad Haqqani replaced him as minister.

Mohammad Bakhtiar Moaz, former governor of Maidan Wardak, was transferred to Laghman province, and Mohammad Hafez Mujahid was appointed as governor of Farah.

Ghausuddin Rahbar was also designated as deputy of the 313 Central Corps.

These reshuffles are part of the Taliban’s ongoing pattern of frequently changing high-ranking officials in their administrative structure, which has continued in recent years
