Officials from the Taliban government have confirmed that Pakistani military forces fired mortars into parts of Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan.

Hamdullah Fitrat, the deputy spokesman for the Taliban government, stated that the attacks targeted the Nari district of Kunar province earlier today. According to his reports, the mortar shells resulted one civilian martyred, while a woman sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, reports indicate that Pakistani forces also opened fire on a civilian vehicle in the Shikin district of Paktika province.
