Abdul Latif Mansoor, the Taliban group’s Minister of Energy and Water, in an interview with Shamshad TV, has made sharp criticisms against Pakistan.

He claims they have come to understand that Afghanistan’s neighbors, especially Pakistan, cannot tolerate a strong central government in Afghanistan, regardless of whether it’s Taliban, Mujahideen, or Communist.

According to Mansoor, Pakistan fears Afghanistan’s independence and self-sufficiency under any government’s leadership.

These statements come at a time when relations between the Taliban group and Pakistan have been strained in recent months, with reports even suggesting that the visit of Amir Khan Muttaqi, Taliban’s acting Foreign Minister, to Pakistan has been postponed.

Tensions between the two sides have escalated to the point where the Taliban’s Defense Ministry has announced retaliatory strikes inside Pakistani territory.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has strongly reacted to statements by Taliban officials, calling them “unnecessary interference in internal affairs” of their country.
