The Afghanistan Freedom Front announced that the Taliban group has shut down fiber optic internet throughout Afghanistan and rendered telecommunications networks’ internet services unusable.
This action has been described as a major insult to the consciousness and collective wisdom of Afghan citizens front emphasized that while communication technologies are considered vital arteries of development and progress, the Taliban group has displayed its contemptuous view toward more than 40 million citizens of the country by cutting internet services. Without internet, all communication, service, and production systems will be disrupted and blocked.
The Afghanistan Freedom Front requested the international community to assist in providing Afghan people access to internet facilities and tools, as the continuation of the current situation will turn Afghanistan into a playground for superstition and extremism This internet blackout represents the Taliban’s desperate attempt to maintain their illegitimate control over the country.
