Sources told Zarin TV that in border clashes between the Taliban group and Pakistani forces, two Afghan journalists have been killed.
Sources from National Television under Taliban administration said these two individuals were local journalists of this media outlet, but sources refrained from revealing the identity of these journalists.
This comes as the Taliban group and Pakistani forces had clashes on Wednesday morning, October 14th in border areas of Kandahar and Paktika provinces.
Zabihullah Mujahid, Taliban spokesperson, said that in Wednesday morning’s clash in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar, 12 civilians were killed and over 100 others were wounded.
The clash began at 4 AM on Wednesday, October 14th at the border gate area in Spin Boldak, Kandahar and continued until around 8 AM.
Mujahid claims the fighting first started with shots from Pakistan’s side and the Taliban group responded to these attacks.
He emphasizes that in this clash, a number of Pakistani forces were killed and some of their outposts were captured by the Taliban group, but he has not provided statistics regarding Pakistani border guard casualties.
