Ahmad Massoud, leader of Afghanistan’s National Resistance Front, said at the annual “Future Encounters” meeting in France that Afghanistan under Taliban control has once again become a global center for terrorist training.
He spoke on Saturday, November 8th, in Saint-Raphaël in France’s Var region about defending democracy.
The Taliban opposition leader explained his choice of armed struggle against the Taliban in Afghanistan, saying they never considered armed struggle as their goal and tried dialogue, but the Taliban rejected it.
Massoud added that armed resistance is not the goal, but a means to reach a political solution.
He emphasized that resistance forces are fighting for a future where Afghans can choose their own government, women can study and live in an equal environment. Massoud asked the international community not to forget and ignore Afghanistan and its people, stressing that simple actions can transform the lives of millions.
