Samee Sadat, former commander of Afghanistan’s army, stated in a social media post that the absence of Afghanistan’s national army is felt throughout the region, leading to the spread of terrorism and instability.
He described the Taliban as a threat to regional security and called on neighboring countries to stop supporting the group.
The former Afghan military official wrote that the entire region suffers from the Taliban’s presence, with extremism on the rise and the economy facing serious challenges.
He urged Afghanistan’s neighbors to immediately view the Taliban as a threat and cease their support for the group.
Sadat warned that the consequences of regional destabilization and terrorism expansion would affect India and Iran after Pakistan.
He emphasized that previous Afghan government requests to Pakistan to stop supporting the Taliban had gone unanswered, contributing to current regional security challenges.
