Ahmad Massoud, leader of Afghanistan’s National Resistance Front, emphasized in international media interviews that Afghanistan and Pakistan should rebuild their relations based on mutual trust and shared interests.
He stated there is no enmity between the peoples of both countries and they can play important roles in regional security through cooperation.
The National Resistance Front leader added that Pakistan is a powerful country and if relations are formed based on respect, it could benefit Afghanistan.
Massoud seeks healthy relations based on mutual respect with all neighbors, especially Pakistan.
These statements come as relations between the Taliban group and Pakistan have severely deteriorated.
The Taliban announced reducing trade and transit with Pakistan, while Islamabad accuses them of harboring Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) members.
