Following recent tensions with Pakistan, the Taliban group has redirected their trade routes toward Iran.
Afghanistan-Iran trade volume reached $1.6 billion in the past six months, surpassing trade with Pakistan which stood at $1.1 billion.

Iran offers substantial discounts for Afghan shipments, including 30% reduction in port tariffs, 75% discount on warehousing costs, and 55% discount on docking.
