A 25-year-old Afghan man in the US faces charges for illegally possessing a machine gun and planning an attack on police officers at Delaware University in Newark.
Luqman Khan was arrested in late November in Wilmington, with ammunition and a notebook containing an attack plan found in his car.
The prosecution said Khan also resisted arrest and his court hearing is set for December 11.
Officials noted that Khan’s notes included a map of the university police station, and he told police after arrest that martyrdom was his goal.
