A workshop titled “Afghanistan Humanitarian Partners,” focusing on polio eradication and the humanitarian situation, was hosted in Doha by the Qatar Red Crescent and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Representatives from UN agencies, the Red Cross, and international donors gathered to discuss improving health services in Afghanistan.
The meeting aimed to exchange updates on the polio program and agree on expanding activities in priority areas for 2026.
Mohamed Badr Al-Sada of the Qatar Red Crescent emphasized that health is fundamental to stability, stating their commitment to investing in programs that provide both emergency response and long-term improvement for Afghan women and children.
This event is part of ongoing humanitarian diplomacy efforts to support Afghanistan’s healthcare system.
