The Taliban government's Ministry of Defense has accused the Pakistani army of violating the temporary ceasefire in border areas and stated that several civilians have been killed as a result of Pakistani forces' attacks. Fasiuddin Fitrat, chief of staff of the Taliban government's army, said in a message on Thursday that the ceasefire was declared by both sides with the mediation of friendly countries and Taliban forces are adhering to it.
However, according to him, cases of ceasefire violations by Pakistani forces have been observed along the Durand Line border. He added that even on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, several civilians were killed, demonstrating the Pakistani army's lack of commitment and deception.
Mr. Fitrat emphasized that despite these violations, Taliban forces have so far remained committed to the ceasefire and refrained from any retaliatory action. He warned that if these actions are repeated, continuing the ceasefire will be meaningless.
