According to the reports, the primary reason given for the detention of these Afghan youths was their lack of traditional headwear and having short beards. Official representatives have not yet commented on these ongoing arrests.
This sudden crackdown comes as the Taliban government has introduced fresh and rigid clothing mandates for university students across the country, making the wearing of hats and growing of beards entirely compulsory for all male attendees.
