The Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs of the Taliban government has announced the commencement of transporting Afghan pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. This year, approximately 30,000 citizens from various provinces will travel to perform the sacred Hajj pilgrimage.

Ministry officials confirmed that the pilgrims will be transported via 96 flights operated by Ariana and Kam Air airlines. The initial phase involves flying 15,000 pilgrims directly to Medina, while the remaining groups will be transported to Jeddah in subsequent flights.

To ensure proper accommodations, the Taliban government previously dispatched a delegation to Saudi Arabia. They have successfully signed service agreements with local companies and a dedicated hospital in Mecca to provide transport, food, housing, and medical care for the pilgrims.
