Following the incident, state security forces promptly arrived at the scene to secure the area and initiate comprehensive clearance operations.
The attack occurred late Wednesday afternoon local time. Despite the violent disruption, the company issued a statement reaffirming its strong commitment to continuing its development and empowerment initiatives for the local communities in the region. No militant group has yet claimed responsibility.
According to official statements, over ninety percent of the workforce at the Drigwan site consists of local residents. The Balochistan region frequently experiences armed assaults targeting both private infrastructure and government installations.
