According to official reports, the death sentence was carried out by hanging after going through legal procedures and receiving confirmation from the Supreme Court. Just a day prior, state-affiliated media reported the execution of Mehdi Farid, a former employee of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, also accused of spying for Israel. The recent surge in executions continues to raise widespread global alarm.
