Local officials from the Taliban government in Kapisa province announced that severe rainfall and hailstorms have resulted in the deaths of five people, leaving two others seriously injured. This tragic natural disaster primarily affected villages located within the Tagab district of the province.
According to initial reports, the extreme weather conditions caused the destruction of several residential houses in the area. Furthermore, dozens of acres of agricultural land and numerous fruit orchards suffered massive and irreversible damage due to the intense hail and flooding.
Local authorities stated that while heavy rain continued in other districts, no additional casualties have been reported so far. This incident follows a series of devastating floods that have caused significant loss of life and property across various regions of Afghanistan in recent months.
