Local authorities of the Taliban government in Maidan Wardak province have announced that two separate traffic accidents along the busy Kabul-Kandahar highway have tragically resulted in two deaths and four severe injuries.
These deadly collisions occurred in the Haidarkhel and Tangi Dawah areas. The first incident involved a devastating crash between a large cargo truck and a passenger car. The second collision occurred shortly after between a Mazda truck and a smaller vehicle, causing further casualties on the dangerous highway.
Recently, traffic accidents have surged unprecedentedly across various provinces in Afghanistan, claiming dozens of lives in just the past few weeks. Citizens heavily criticize the authorities for the poor condition of public roads, reckless driving, and the complete absence of proper traffic signs.
