Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi recently met with his Tajik counterpart Ramazon Rahimzoda in Bishkek Kyrgyzstan to discuss severe regional security threats. Naqvi emphasized that the presence of alleged terrorist training camps in Afghanistan is creating serious security challenges for neighboring countries.

The discussions which took place during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting highlighted issues like drug production and cross border terrorism. Pakistani officials claim that around twenty five different terrorist organizations are currently operating from Afghan soil posing a direct threat to the entire region.

The Taliban government has repeatedly denied these accusations stating that Afghan territory will not be used against any other nation. They maintain that the security issues facing Pakistan are purely internal matters that Islamabad must resolve independently.
