The Taliban's Ministry of Justice announced that 151 acres of land in Gurbuz district of Khost province have been designated as "Emirate property" based on a ruling by a special court. The lands are located in the village of Bari.

The Taliban's anti-land-grabbing commission had previously reviewed the case, but due to objections from local occupants and owners, the file was referred to the "Central Zone Special Court." After reviewing documents, the court ruled that all 151 acres belong to the Emirate.

Many local residents claim these courts act unilaterally, seizing personal and inherited lands under the label of "Emirate property" without fair access to independent courts. Since returning to power, the Taliban has confiscated lands across multiple provinces.
