Local authorities of the Taliban government in Jawzjan province have reported two separate traffic accidents along the highway connecting Jawzjan and Mazar i Sharif. These tragic incidents have left at least six people injured requiring immediate medical attention.
According to the provincial police command the accidents occurred in the Aqcha and Faizabad districts. The first collision involved two vehicles crashing into each other while the second incident was caused by a passenger car overturning on the rugged road.
A police spokesperson confirmed that all the injured individuals were quickly transferred to the nearest hospital for proper treatment. The rising number of traffic accidents in Afghanistan recently highlights growing concerns over poor road conditions and reckless driving across the country.
