Taliban government officials announced that over seven hundred Afghan citizens have been released from various Pakistani prisons and returned home in the past week.
These individuals were previously detained by Pakistani police for lacking legal residency documents and have now entered the country through the Torkham and Spin Boldak crossings.
Despite these releases, there is still widespread criticism regarding the uncertain fate and lack of attention to Afghan prisoners held abroad.
