The Taliban administration's procurement commission has announced the approval of sixteen new projects valued at nearly 3.5 billion Afghanis. These initiatives encompass the construction of roads, a hospital, and other vital infrastructure across various provinces in Afghanistan.

During the commission meeting, forty projects were reviewed, leading to the approval of sixteen. Key initiatives include a fifty-bed hospital in Uruzgan province, a freight truck terminal, a water storage dam in Badghis, and new oil storage facilities.

The Taliban administration stated that these projects will be funded through their internal budget. However, economic experts highlight that banking restrictions and a significant drop in foreign investment remain major obstacles to executing large-scale development projects.
