United Nations officials have indicated that the Taliban administration highly prefers engaging in direct bilateral relations with individual countries rather than participating in multilateral diplomatic formats.
Georgette Gagnon, the deputy head of UNAMA, announced that multiple formal requests have been submitted to secure a travel permit for Richard Bennett to visit the country.
She further elaborated that while the supreme leader does not hold face to face meetings with foreigners, the critical messages from the international community are successfully delivered to him.
