A top official from the United Nations mission in Afghanistan stated that banning Afghan female staff from their workplaces is a clear violation of the UN Charter.
Georgette Gagnon mentioned in a recent interview that the reasoning provided by the Taliban administration for not allowing young girls to attend school is simply not good enough.
She also added that there will be absolutely no fourth Doha meeting unless significant practical actions are taken regarding female education and counter terrorism efforts.
