Actress Niti Taylor has alleged that the director of her first Telugu film made an inappropriate demand to cast her for a role in another movie.

The actress, who made her South Indian cinema debut with the film 'Mem Vayasuku Vacham', directed this accusation at its director, Trinadha Rao Nakkina. According to Taylor, the director told her, "'But you will have to sleep with me for it this time.'"

Niti Taylor added that the experience was so shocking for her that she "decided I'd never do any movies ever again." The incident deeply affected her morale and pushed her away from the film industry for a period.

These allegations have once again drawn attention to the problem of the "casting couch," or sexual exploitation in exchange for roles, within the film industry. This phenomenon is one of the darker aspects of the entertainment world globally, which was brought further into the light by the #MeToo movement.

Many female actors in Hollywood, Bollywood, and other regional film industries in India have shared similar stories of harassment and inappropriate demands made by powerful individuals in the industry.

Trinadha Rao Nakkina, the director in question, has not yet publicly responded to these accusations. Niti Taylor's disclosure could spark further discussions about the need for safer working environments and accountability in the Indian film industry.
