Afghan Embassy in New Delhi Closes Permanently Amidst Pressure from India and Taliban

The Taliban and the Indian government’s demands for handover led to the permanent closure of the Afghan embassy in New Delhi, the embassy announced.

According to the embassy, after eight weeks of waiting, India refused to renew the visas of Afghan diplomats. As a result of ongoing pressure from both this government and the Taliban administration to turn up the embassy, the personnel of the embassy were forced to make a tough decision.
