Afghanistan U-19 Cricket Team Loses to India by 9 Wickets
Afghanistan’s U-19 cricket team suffered a heavy 9-wicket defeat to India in their third match of the South Africa Tri-Series on Friday.
India won the toss and elected to field first. Afghanistan was bowled out for just 88 runs in 33 overs, with India’s left-arm pacer Naman Tiwari taking four wickets.
India chased down the target with ease, reaching 92 for 1 in just 12.1 overs. Adarsh Singh top-scored for India with an unbeaten 52 off 39 balls.
The defeat is a setback for Afghanistan, which had won its first two matches of the tournament. The team is now second in the standings, behind India.
Afghanistan’s next match is against South Africa on Sunday.
