Georgia does not impose sanctions on Russia
The prime minister of Georgia says that his country does not impose sanctions on Russia.
Irakli Kobakhidze said in a joint press conference with Joseph Borrell, the EU’s foreign affairs and security policy official, and Oliver Verhly, the EU’s enlargement negotiations commissioner, in Brussels.
“What is related to our policy regarding sanctions against Russia, in this regard, our position is very clear. We do not impose sanctions and we have very strong arguments in this regard.
At the same time, Georgia is not used to circumvent sanctions. Therefore, this is a very strong policy that we follow and we want to continue this path.”
The Prime Minister of Georgia said about Ukraine that Georgia strongly supports Ukraine politically.
