The Taliban demanded the release of central bank assets to strengthen the health system

Qalandar Ebad, the Minister of Public Health of the Taliban, asked the United States to release the frozen assets of the central bank in order to strengthen the health system in Afghanistan.

National Radio and Television under the Taliban administration reported that Ebad expressed this request at a meeting of aid organizations in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

He has claimed that the Taliban will use this money to solve the challenges of the health system.

According to this report, the Minister of Public Health of the Taliban has emphasized on bringing reforms in the Afghan health system and providing standard services in the villages.

It should be mentioned that after the fall of Afghanistan to the hands of the Taliban, more than nine billion dollars of the country’s assets were frozen in European and American banks.
