Putin’s victory in the Russian presidential election

Congratulating the preliminary results of the election, Vladimir Putin, the current leader of Russia, declared himself the winner.

Speaking to his supporters at the election headquarters, he thanked all the Russians who came to vote at the election centers and claimed that the country is a united family.

In this election, Putin won with more than 87% of the votes. He competed with three other candidates in this election, but experts believe that there was no real competition due to the ban on candidates critical of Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

Victory in the elections will give the 71-year-old Russian leader a fifth presidential term. His new term will last six years until 2030.
