Condemnation of the suicide attack in Kandahar by the UN Security Council

In a statement, the United Nations Security Council has strongly condemned the suicide attack in the first district of Kandahar city.

This council has identified terrorist attacks as one of the most serious threats to peace and security in Afghanistan and the world.

Council members have emphasized that the perpetrators, organizers, financiers and supporters of such attacks should be tried and held accountable.

Also, all countries have been asked to cooperate with the relevant authorities in this field based on their commitments to international laws and relevant resolutions of this council.

The declaration of this council states that any terrorist act is unjustified and criminal.

Also, Rina Amiri, the US special representative for Afghan women’s affairs, expressed concern about the situation, condemned the terrorist attack in Kandahar and demanded that the perpetrators of this attack be held accountable.
