Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzadeh, the leader of the Taliban, insisting on “applying sharia limits”, has again announced that women will be stoned and flogged.
Taliban media, including national radio and television controlled by this group, published a message attributed to the absent leader of the Taliban, Akhundzadeh, on Sunday.
In this message, Akhundzadeh pointed to the West and stated that they do not differentiate between “animals and women”.
He added: We implement the divine decrees, you consider this a violation of women’s rights. Tomorrow we will punish women in public, we will stone them.
Akhundzadeh stated: “All these actions are against your democracy, each of these actions will lead to your resistance.” He has stated that democracy was not established in Afghanistan due to the presence of “scholars”.
In another part of this message, he calls himself the representative of Allah on earth and says that he will save “humanity”.
Ahmad Saeedi, a political expert, says that Mullah Haibatullah, the leader of the Taliban, presented the main image of the Taliban as a mirror in his messages the other day, and in another part, he also sent a message to the supporters and lobbyists of the Taliban to not bother with all your flattery. We are not people of interaction and understanding, we do what we believe, we fought for 20 years and we will fight for another 20!These statements have been announced at the same time as the punishments against Afghan citizens have been increased in open courts due to various charges.
It should be noted that the Taliban, despite internal and external pressures to respect human rights and prevent field punishments, continue to use field courts.
