The first foreign visit of the Taliban’s interior minister to the United Arab Emirates
Sirajuddin Haqqani, Acting Minister of Interior Affairs of the Taliban, met and talked with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Emir of the United Arab Emirates, during his trip to Abu Dhabi.
The United Arab Emirates State News Agency published a report on Tuesday, 15th of Gemini, that in this meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening the ties of cooperation between the two countries and ways to strengthen relations in order to provide mutual benefits and contribute to the stability of the region.
According to the report, these talks were focused on economic and development fields as well as support for reconstruction and development in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid has also confirmed this trip.By publishing a message on his social media page, he wrote that Abdul Haq Vathiq, the head of Taliban intelligence, was also present in this trip and they met with the Emir of the United Arab Emirates last evening.
