Iranian Hackers Stole Trump’s Campaign Documents and Sent Them to Biden’s Team
An investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and US intelligence agencies has revealed that Iranian hackers stole sensitive information from Donald Trump’s campaign and sent it to individuals associated with Joe Biden’s team in June and early July. The motive behind this action was to influence the outcome of the 2024 US presidential election and increase political division among voters.
The FBI has stated that there is no evidence to suggest that Biden’s team responded to these emails. Kamala Harris’ campaign also said that these emails were marked as spam and phishing content However, Trump claims that Iran and Harris are spying on him.
Karoline Leavitt, a Trump campaign spokesperson, told CBS News in a statement: “This is further proof the Iranians are actively interfering in the election to help Kamala Harris and Joe Biden because they know President Trump will restore his tough sanctions and stand against their reign of terror.”
The US Department of Justice has announced that it plans to file criminal charges in connection with the hacking of Trump’s campaign. This incident has raised serious concerns about cybersecurity and foreign interference in US elections.
