Mawlawi Abdul Kabir on Taliban’s Political Independence
Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, the Deputy Political Chief of the Taliban, emphasized the group’s pursuit of complete independence in decision-making during the inauguration of a commercial center in Kabul. On Thursday, October 17, he stated that the Taliban do not follow anyone’s orders nor do they plead with anyone, adding that they face no obstacles or delays in their interactions with the world.
Kabir also claimed that Afghanistan under Taliban rule is not isolated, now having 40 political representations worldwide. He stressed that the Taliban’s foreign policy is so strong that no country can make incorrect decisions against Afghanistan.
The Taliban official mentioned that Afghanistan does not pose a threat to anyone from its soil and seeks good relations based on mutual respect with all countries. This comes as the Taliban continually seek international recognition while imposing restrictions on citizens, particularly women and girls.
