US Warships Successfully Defend Against Massive Houthi Attack in Red Sea

The Pentagon has confirmed a significant attack on two US warships in the Bab al-Mandab strait. The assault involved eight drones and eight anti-ship ballistic missiles launched by Houthi forces, marking a serious escalation in regional tensions.

The Houthi military spokesman, Yahya Sarea, claimed two separate military operations against US naval vessels in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea. The operations reportedly lasted eight hours, targeting an aircraft carrier and two destroyers with missiles and drones.

The US Defense Department reported that their warships successfully intercepted all threats, suffering no damage. Since October 7, the Iran-backed Houthis have been conducting attacks on international shipping lanes near Yemen, targeting vessels they claim are linked to Israel.
