Meanwhile, local sources in Khost Province, Afghanistan, reported that the Taliban celebrated this event with aerial gunfire and the broadcasting of Taliban songs. These actions have reportedly caused distress among local residents in parts of Khost.
This comes as the Taliban, despite domestic and international calls, have yet to form an inclusive government in Afghanistan. This highlights a contradiction in the Taliban’s stance on domestic and international issues.
