Aimal Wali Khan, leader of Pakistan’s National Awami Party, has criticized his country’s policies towards the Afghan Taliban and the Pakistani Taliban Movement.
He argues that supporting the Afghan Taliban and TTP has perpetuated the security crisis in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. This Pakistani politician further notes that Mullah Haibatullah was appointed as the leader of the Afghan Taliban from Pakistan, and Mullah Mansour held a Pakistani passport.
The Haqqani network was also harbored in Waziristan.
