Fereydoun Qayoumi, head of the Dutch Committee for Afghanistan programs, announced that the organization has provided services worth $8.6 million to Afghan livestock owners and farmers in 2024.

These programs aimed at preventing animal mortality and included training, breeding, vaccination, and improving animal husbandry.

Over 3 million livestock owners and farmers across 30 provinces of Afghanistan have benefited from these initiatives. This information was shared during an interview with the national television currently under Taliban control.

According to Qayoumi, more than 300 collection centers have been established to market products from Afghan livestock owners and farmers. These centers help improve the sale and supply of animal and agricultural products in the country.
