Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid announced the 7th Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Coordination Committee meeting in Kabul. The meeting will address Durand Line disputes and cross-border facilities. Pakistan’s representative Muhammad Sadiq Khan arrived in Kabul on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, for the one-day talks.

The Taliban delegation is led by Deputy Defense Minister Mullah Abdul Qayyum Zakir. Relations between the two sides have deteriorated recently, with Pakistan claiming Taliban is using Afghan territory to launch attacks against their country.

Meanwhile, Taliban accuses Pakistan of supporting ISIS fighters. Taliban Defense Ministry spokesman Inayatullah Khwarazmi stated in January 2025 that the group doesn’t recognize Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Pakistani territory and confirmed attacks across the Durand Line.
