The National Resistance Front has announced that its forces killed Qari Yaser, the deputy of the Taliban’s 8th district, and one of his bodyguards in a targeted operation on Thursday in Kunduz city.
The operation was carried out with high precision and achieved its objective according to resistance sources.
Local sources have confirmed that the incident took place in Shurakhak village in Kunduz province.
Qari Yaser was considered one of the important Taliban commanders in northern Afghanistan, and his elimination could significantly impact the Taliban’s security structure in the region.
So far, the Taliban group has not reacted to this incident.
This attack comes at a time when the activities of the National Resistance Front have increased in several provinces of Afghanistan in recent months, creating new security challenges for the Taliban group as they struggle to maintain control in contested regions.
