Sarah Adams, a former CIA operative, has called the Taliban’s claimed operation against an ISIS hideout in Kabul last night “fake and theatrical.
” According to Adams, the targeted location has actually been under the control of the Taliban intelligence’s “Zulfiqar” unit since the fall of Kabul in 2021, and the group is now falsely presenting it as an ISIS facility.

According to this former CIA operative, the Taliban stage such fake operations to attract support and financial aid from the international community under the guise of counter-terrorism efforts. She claims that just a few weeks ago, the United States paid $46 million to the Taliban through Doha.
