The Coordination Council of Afghanistan’s Political and Consular Representatives has condemned the violent behavior of a man against an Afghan child in Russia as a barbaric act.
On Wednesday, June 25, 2025, the council issued a statement asking the Russian government to seriously investigate this incident and punish the perpetrator.
A video circulating on social media shows a man slamming an Afghan child to the ground at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport.
According to reports, following this attack, the 18-month-old child suffered serious physical injuries, including a broken spine.
Russian authorities have announced that a 31-year-old man from Belarus has been arrested at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport after attacking the Afghan child.
