An American tourist in Venice, Italy successfully tracked down a 14-year-old pickpocket using AirPods tracking technology .

Christina Cadieu Greene, a mother of eight, grabbed the teenage girl by her ponytail and refused to let go until police arrived after her purse containing passport and credit cards was stolen .


The incident occurred on August 14th in Venice’s Santa Maria del Giglio area .

Greene used the Find My Friends feature on her AirPods, which were inside the stolen bag, to track down three teenage girls . In the viral video, she tells the suspect: “I have eight kids, you’re not getting to me” .


The confrontation turned violent when one of the girls swung the stolen bag at Greene’s head, causing injuries that required hospital treatment .

Police eventually arrested the two teenagers and recovered Greene’s passport and credit cards, though her cash and AirPods were never returned .
