Local sources in Baghlan province reported that Mansour, a resident of Shahshan village in Dah-e-Salah district, disappeared in Herat after returning from Iran and his body was later discovered.

The young man, who worked as a laborer in Iran, had no military background and was considered an ordinary worker.

Sources claim that the Taliban killed him solely because of his connection to the Andarab region.

This incident occurred while the Taliban recently arrested a former soldier and his brother from a hospital in Kabul.

The UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights for Afghanistan had previously confirmed that the Taliban have committed widespread extrajudicial killings, many of which were motivated by ethnic and regional factors.
