Shafqat Ali Khan, spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, called recent statements by Yaqub Mujahid, Taliban’s Defense Minister, regarding Pakistan’s failure to control terrorism “a joke.”

He said in a recent press conference that whatever statement is issued by the opposing side cannot cover the seriousness of this matter.

The Taliban’s Defense Minister had previously told BBC that Pakistan’s security organizations are weak and they blame others for their failures in stopping the activities of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan.

Khan emphasized that the presence of terrorist sanctuaries, especially TTP members in Afghanistan, remains a serious issue.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson stressed that terrorist havens, particularly members of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan or TTP in Afghanistan, which the country calls “Fitna Khawarij,” is a serious matter.

These tensions have affected relations between the two neighboring countries and continue to impact regional security dynamics.
