Residents of Herat province report that internet speed has slowed since last night, making access to online services more difficult.
Meanwhile, the Taliban governor’s spokesperson in Balkh province confirmed that fiber optic internet usage has been banned by Taliban leadership to prevent “satanic activities.”
Following restrictions imposed by the Taliban group, many people, especially girls deprived of education, have turned to online learning.
The internet speed reduction has now created widespread concerns among students and social media users.
This situation was reported on September 6th, and if it continues, access to classes and online services will face serious challenges.
